Public Liability & Professional Indemnity

All individuals who take part in tennis, either as administrators, coaches or participants, have a Duty of Care to ensure they do not cause injury or financial loss to anyone or damage to anyone's property. If their actions do cause injury, loss or damage and 'negligence' can be proved, they become legally liable to pay compensation.

The LTA has arranged protection for all LTA constituents with Hiscox, this worldwide cover embraces a wide range of activities, including social, fundraising and administrative activities.

This protection includes:

  • Public Liability insurance - covers against claims for compensation for bodily injury or property damage allegedly caused by your negligence. This includes abuse cover and claims made against coaches alleged poor or incorrect coaching

  • Profesional Indemnity insurance - covers against claims for compensation for financial loss allegedly caused by negligent errors or ommissions in advice that you have provided. This includes defamation cover.
